  • Reading Rockets - launching young readers by providing a rich library of evidence-based classroom strategies to help young children become skilled readers

  • PBS Kids Read! - resources around reading, including tips, activities, games, and booklists. Lots and lots of booklists. Take a look and dive into your next reading adventure

  • Center for Disease Control and Prevention - information, and tools that people and communities need to protect their health through health promotion, prevention of disease, injury, and disability, and preparedness for new health threats.

  • CT Birth to Three - supports families when they have concerns about their children's development

  • American Academy of Pediatrics - an organization of pediatricians committed to the optimal physical, mental, and social health and well-being of all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.

  • Safe Kids Connecticut - a statewide network of organizations and individuals who work together to prevent unintentional injury in children. Works to reduce death and injury rates of children through community education, public policy change, creating safe environments, and conducting research

  • State of CT Department of Public Health - protect and improve the health and safety of the people of Connecticut

  • Food Allergy Research & Education - enhances the lives of individuals with food allergies empowering them to lead safe, productive lives with the respect of others through education and advocacy initiatives and improved awareness around healthcare options and treatment

  • 2-1-1 Childcare - A free, confidential, and statewide service that helps families find childcare to best meet their needs and maintains current listings of licensed and license-exempt childcare programs in Connecticut

  • U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission - Federal agency website that posts recalls, reports, and alerts to save lives and keep families safe by reducing the unreasonable risk of injuries and deaths associated with consumer products.
